About Steve

From Hollywood film sets to agentic software development, Steve is a lifelong storyteller with a passion for high-stakes leadership, teamwork, logistics, and system architecture in extreme environments.

His filmmaking path started with three features that premiered and sold at Sundance and TIFF, with a Variety nod to the Artisan’s Elite list. Since then he has directed and photographed blockbuster work including HBO’s The Climb, Creed II, Godzilla, and Missing. He has embedded vision systems into extreme environments for Amazon, YouTube, and Netflix series with Downey Jr., DiCaprio, and Momoa, and public-safety embeds with CAL FIRE and Qwake Technologies.

Alongside the studio work, he runs Tank Aerial, a worldwide UAS and spatial-data platform, and has shipped agentic production systems to solve real-world creative friction points — including Creator Bay and CineBrain.

His journey began on a Watson Foundation documentary in Samoa, living with a spearfishing family on the edge of the archipelago and chronicling their recovery after a tsunami. He is a champion for the next generation of artists through his global art competition 501(c)(3) Artalyst, and he still chases first ascents, big waves, and entrepreneurship when he is off assignment.
