Privacy

This Privacy Policy describes how Steven Holleran (“I,” “me,” “Steve”) handles information in connection with steveholleran.com and stevenholleran.com (the “Site”). I am the controller of any personal information collected through the Site. I do not sell personal information and I do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this Site.
What I collect
The Site does not create accounts, does not require login, and does not set first-party tracking cookies. If you send a speaking inquiry or other note, the form opens your own mail client. The message is sent by you to steve@cine-monk.com. I retain what you send only as needed to reply, book, or keep a professional record. Representation addresses on the Contact page belong to those firms; writing them is a message to that person, not to this Site.
I do not ask for payment card numbers, government IDs, or precise geolocation on this Site.
Hosting and logs
Pages and media are served from Cloudflare (including R2). Cloudflare and any downstream host may process technical data — IP address, user agent, referrer, request path, and timestamps — to operate the CDN, block abuse, and keep the Site available. That processing is governed by Cloudflare’s privacy policy. I do not use those logs to build marketing profiles.
Cookies and local storage
No first-party cookie is required to view the Site. Your browser may store a short-lived local preference (for example, that the intro already played, or reduced-motion). That data stays on your device. I do not use it to identify you across sessions or across sites.
Third-party links and media
Links to Instagram, X, YouTube, Vimeo, press outlets, studios, and ventures (including Tank Aerial, Creator Bay, CineBrain, Art Uncharted, Artalyst, Itinerant Pictures, and Qwake) are those parties’ services. Their policies apply when you leave this Site. Embedded or linked trailers remain subject to the rights of their owners.
Agents, crawlers, and quotes
Public pages, llms.txt, llms-full.txt, and knowledge.json are published so that people and software agents can find and quote factual information about my work, with attribution. That is not consent to collect your private messages, harvest emails, or rehost photographs, video, or audio. See the Terms of Use for what is reserved.
How I use information
Correspondence is used to respond, to evaluate speaking or professional requests, and to protect my rights, safety, and property (including investigating abuse of the Site). I do not sell, rent, or share personal information for advertising. I may disclose information if required by law, to my lawyers or representatives, or to stop harm or fraud.
Retention and security
Email is kept as long as a professional record is useful, then deleted or archived in the ordinary course. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Do not send confidential deal terms, unreleased cuts, or sensitive personal data through the public form.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where that is the relevant age). I do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you may request to know, delete, or correct personal information I hold about you, and you may direct me not to sell or share it. I do not sell or share personal information as those terms are used in the CCPA/CPRA. I do not use sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics. To exercise a request, email steve@cine-monk.com with the subject “Privacy request.” I will verify the request by the email thread. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. An authorized agent may submit a request with proof of authority.
“Do Not Track” signals: this Site does not track you across third-party websites, so there is no additional DNT response beyond not tracking.
International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you understand that information you send (including email) may be processed in the U.S., which may have different data-protection rules than your country.
Changes
I may update this policy. The “Last updated” date is the effective date. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
